Behind The Scenes

Hello, and welcome to my behind-the-scenes photographer blog! My name is Megan, and I'm delighted to give you a glimpse into what goes on behind my lens.

As a photographer, I aim to capture memorable moments for my clients that will last a lifetime.

Before the shoot begins, plenty of planning and preparation goes into it. I communicate with my client via Email or WhatsApp to clearly understand their vision and what they hope to achieve with the photos. This involves discussing the location, forwarding Pinterest poses and ideas, the shoot style, outfits and props, the guest list and any other essential details.

Once the shoot is scheduled and the location is decided, I'll usually do a site visit or research the area to get an idea of what to expect and to gain a general feel of the area to plan out specific photos. I'll also consider the lighting and make any necessary adjustments to my equipment.

On the shoot day, I arrive early to set up my equipment and make the necessary adjustments to my equipment. I always carry backup equipment in case of any technical difficulties.

During the shoot, I'll guide clients through various poses and positions to ensure they look and feel their best in the photos. I'll also take candid shots to capture those off-guard natural moments.

After the shoot, I'll select and edit the best photos to perfection. This involves adjusting the colours, brightness, and contrast and removing any blemishes or imperfections.

Once the photos are ready, I'll present them to my client and make any necessary changes based on their feedback. I always strive to ensure my clients are happy with the final result.

Overall, being a photographer involves much more than just clicking a button. It is a creative process that requires careful planning, preparation, thoughtfulness and execution. But there's nothing more rewarding than capturing those beautiful moments that my clients will cherish forever.
